Scheduling an Exam in the Testing Centre

To schedule an exam in the Testing Centre you will need have the following information:

  • The requested dates for running your exam. Please note for larger class sizes you will have to run your exam for a minimum of 3 days. The scheduling works on a first come, first serve basis, so please get your exam dates to us as early as possible to get the dates you want. 
  • The number of students in your class.
  • Your course name, number, and section.

Marking Short Answer/Essay Exam Questions

When you use Moodle's quiz tool a lot of the question types are automatically graded for you. ( Multiple choice, true & false, matching )

However, you may want to use Short Answer or Essay questions in your exam which will have to be graded manually.

Transferring your Course Content

If you have a course previously taught in Moodle it is very easy to get your content moved over into a future/current semester. You are not required to create your online course component from scratch every semester, we can move your pervious course over to edit and revise as needed.

You will notice that you have access to the last semester under Previous Term Courses, if this is the course you wish to move over you are welcome to go through the steps yourself, as listed below.

If you require access to a course earlier then the last semester you will have to fill out a request and we will retrieve your course from the backups.

Submitting Final Grades

You can submit your grades directly from Moodle to the Registrar's Office. This is very convenient if you have a large class size.
