The University of Lethbridge Access Copyright Licence expires December 31, 2015. If you have materials in Moodle that you are transferring over from a previous course semester falling under this licence please see the following notice.
Reusing Copyrighted Materials in Restored Moodle Courses
Dear University of Lethbridge Instructor,
The University acquired an Access Copyright licence in June 2012 covering copying of materials in the Access Copyright repertoire for the period January 1, 2011 to December 31, 2015. From January 1, 2016 the University is no longer covered by an Access Copyright licence.
The terms of the licence expiring December 31, 2015 require the University to, among other things, “immediately use reasonable efforts to (i) prevent access to Digital Copies of Repertoire Works made under [the expired] agreement and stored on a Secure Network under its control”.
If your restored Moodle course contains Access Copyright repertoire materials copied under the licence expiring on December 31, 2015, permissions must first be secured if you wish to reuse the copied materials. For more information, see the University’s Copyright website at: http://www.uleth.ca/lib/copyright/index.asp?t1=moodle&t2=reuse.
Please feel free to contact Rumi Graham or Betsy Greenlees in the University Copyright Advisor office if you have questions or would like assistance in assessing the permission status of copied materials in your Moodle course.
